The Gombe State Hospital Services Management Board serves as the government institution responsible for the governance, administration, and management of public secondary healthcare facilities across the State. The Board provides leadership, oversight, and coordination to ensure that healthcare facilities operate efficiently while delivering quality healthcare services to citizens.
We coordinate and supervise secondary healthcare facilities, strengthen healthcare service delivery, support workforce development, promote accountability, manage healthcare resources, and ensure continuous improvement across all hospitals under our supervision.

Recruit, deploy, supervise, train, and manage healthcare workers while supporting workforce motivation, development, and retention.
Manage hospital budgets, financial accountability systems, and resource utilization to support sustainable healthcare services.
Plan, maintain, renovate, and expand hospital infrastructure while ensuring the functionality of medical equipment and health technologies.
Coordinate procurement, storage, distribution, and rational use of medicines and healthcare commodities.
Strengthen health information systems, data management, reporting, and evidence-based decision making across all facilities.
Support emergency response systems and strengthen referral pathways across all healthcare facilities in the State.
Collaborate with government institutions, development partners, professional bodies, private organizations, and communities.
